Privacy Policy

This policy is provided in English.

Ringgit 2U ("we", "us") shares general personal-finance education for Malaysians. We do not sell products and we do not give personal financial advice. This policy explains what information we handle and why.

1. Who we are

Ringgit 2U is run by an individual based in Malaysia. Contact: message the Ringgit 2U Facebook Page.

2. This website

• The site is a set of static pages. We do not run accounts, forms, comments or analytics on it, and we do not set our own cookies.
• Your browser stores two preferences on your own device (chosen language and light/dark mode) in local storage. They never leave your device.
• Our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services, CloudFront) keeps standard server logs such as IP address, page requested and time, for security and delivery.
• Advertising. When advertising is shown on the site, it is served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info. 3. Our Facebook Page and groups

We only handle information already visible on our own Page or posts:

• Public comments on our posts: your Facebook display name, the user ID Facebook provides, the comment text, its time and like count.
• Totals such as reactions and comment counts.
• Comments on our posts in Facebook groups we manage, when that feature is on: display name and comment text.

We do not collect private messages, friend lists, email addresses, phone numbers, your location, or anything from your profile beyond your public display name. We read publicly available news and public forum thread titles only to choose topics, never to profile people.

4. How we use it

To read and reply to comments on our posts, decide which comments need a human, keep conversations respectful, and learn which topics are useful. Some replies are drafted with an AI model that runs on hardware we control; your comments are not sent to third-party AI services.

5. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your information, and we do not combine it with other sources to profile you. It may be disclosed only if Malaysian law requires it. Facebook processes data under its own Privacy Policy.

6. Storage and retention

Comment records are stored on our own computer in Malaysia and kept only as long as they help us manage conversations on our posts; old records are removed periodically.

7. Your rights and data deletion

Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) you may ask what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. To request deletion:

1. Message the Ringgit 2U Facebook Page.
2. Include your Facebook display name and, if you can, a link to your comment.
3. We delete the records we hold about you within 30 days and confirm by reply.

You can also delete your own comments on Facebook at any time, and remove our app's access under Facebook Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites.

8. Children

Ringgit 2U is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we update the effective date above and announce significant changes on our Page.
