- If you applied or appealed recently, note that your payment window opens on 16 November, not 4 November.
- If you have no bank account, locate your nearest BSN branch and plan to collect with your MyKad during the disbursement period.
- If your details have been unchanged for three years or more, update them now so your 2027 eligibility is not left hanging.

Why it matters5/6 STR and SARA now dwarf the old BR1M
The combined 2026 allocation for STR and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) stands at RM15 billion, nearly three times what was disbursed under the 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M) programme in 2016.
Anwar said the latest round is timed to help families celebrating Deepavali, a festival for which more than 630,000 STR recipients are from the Indian community. The aid also targets year-end expenses for all beneficiaries.
What to watch6/6 Key dates still ahead
16 November 2026 – newly approved and successful appeal applicants begin receiving payments.
2027 – the 1.68 million recipients who update their details will have eligibility reassessed for the next year's programme. Those who do not update risk being dropped from the list.

Questions people ask
Do I need to apply again for STR Phase 4?
No. Existing recipients are paid automatically during the 4-to-6 November window. Only newly approved applicants and successful appeal cases wait until 16 November.
What if I do not have a bank account?
Collect the cash in person at any Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branch. Bring your MyKad for identity verification.
Why must I update my STR details if nothing changed?
The government requires a refresh every three years to confirm household income and dependant status. Without an update, your eligibility for the 2027 round cannot be reassessed.
